Now that their last candidate for the open Senate seat in Illinois, Jack Ryan, has self-destructed, how much trouble are the Illinois GOP having finding a candidate to take on Democratic rising star Barack Obama?
UPDATE: Yep, it's true -- at least they didn't pick the one with the sexual harassment charges!

If you think anything I write here represents the opinions of anybody but myself, you need more help than I can give you. The opinions are all mine, folks. Nobody else's.
If that's too hard to understand... well, I'm sorry. There's only so much I can do. I'm not a therapist, and I'm not a miracle worker. I wish I could help you work through your delusional belief that I'm speaking for anyone else but myself. Honestly, I do. But in the end, that's a monkey you'll have to get off your back on your own. Sorry.
I'm going to miss Jack Ryan.
#1: he had the cool Tom Clancy Name
#2: What kind of a world do we live in where a Republican has to drop out of a senate race because he wanted to have sex with his own wife (in front of other people, sure, but no cigars were involved)?
Are you kidding? Sex with his WIFE? How sick is that?
What, you thought it was because of the sex club?
Yeah, nobody should have a problem with sex between consenting adults!
Oh, wait...
"Jeri Ryan said her then-husband took her on three 'surprise trips' in the spring of 1998 to New Orleans, New York and Paris, during which he took her to sex clubs. She said she refused to go in the first and went into the second at his insistence.
'It was a bizarre club with cages, whips and other apparatus hanging from the ceiling,' she said in the court document, adding that her husband 'wanted me to have sex with him there, with another couple watching. I refused.'
She said on arriving at the third club, in Paris, 'people were having sex everywhere. I cried. I was physically ill. [He] became very upset with me and said it was not a 'turn on' for me to cry.' "

Not a "turn on" for her to cry because he wanted to screw her in front of a bunch of unwashed Frenchmen. Wow, he's a gentleman, too! :-)
Yeah, but he wanted to have sex with his WIFE. I mean, if he was going to upset her by acting like a jerk, he should have banged an intern and then lied about it to prosecutors like everybody else. ;-)
